Lost in Mastication

I’m the O.G. Sherry LKH Main — version one-point-zero. Sometimes know as LK Hash, LadyKeli or Mrs. Mean.

I was born in East L.A., but now reside in the O.C. (pronounced: o ché). I grew up in a town that is about the size of a nut — a walnut to be exact. When I was kicked out of the house at 18, I left for a great little town called Davis in the state of Northern California.

Although I studied Genetics and 日本語, I am now a marketing and communications director. I enjoy the creativity of marketing. Being at the forefront of news and technology keeps my job interesting. I’m always learning something new. I also like to be involved… especially when it has something to do with the community, government and leadership. To this end, I’m going back to school. I’m attempting to add three more letters to my name: m, b and a.

I love food — cooking and eating. I enjoy entertaining and decorating. I also love the other addictive consumable: shopping. I like reading, political satire, HBO series’, RockBand-ing (sometimes) and napping (all the time). If ever I play and win the lottery, I would like to spend more time sailing, taking photographs, golfing, wine-tasting, and traveling.

I only have interest in driving cars with initials: MR2, SLK, 911, S8, etc. The pre-sets on my car radio include NPR, alternative, rap, pop, classical, indie and oldies.

What makes a bad day, good: pop orchestras, my dog, watching rain fall in my backyard, and thumbing through old photographs.

Pablo once asked me to name five things that I would like accomplish in my lifetime. My mind changes constantly, but here are my current five: 1) own/chef a restaurant or catering service (ala the BF Contessa); 2) reside in London (fall), Napa (winter), Japan (spring) and the Hamptons (summer); 3) skipper a sailboat through the Panama Canal; 4) complete a half-triathlon; and 5) see the modern seven wonders of the world.

What else? Oh yeah, I am a member of a secret society.
